Today, a meeting of the Supervisory Board was held at the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, consisting of Chairman Dmytro Romanyuk, Secretary Yana Stadilna, Vitaliy Myronyuk, Mykola Paliychuk, Taras Finikov, Roman Sheremeta, and Tetyana Shippi, at which the results of the interviews for the competition for the position of rector were discussed. After the discussion, the members of the Board held a secret vote.
According to its results, the new rector of the Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University was Valentyna Mykhailivna Yakubiv, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, and in the past the first vice-rector of the KNUVS.
We congratulate Valentina Mykhailivna on this well-deserved victory — we wish her inspiration, wisdom, strength, and foresight in her new position to implement ambitious ideas, unite the academic community around a common goal, and confidently lead the university to new achievements and international recognition!

Valentina Mykhailivna Yakubiv was born on June 6, 1981 in the city of Kalush.
In 1998, she graduated from secondary school No. 22 in Ivano-Frankivsk with a gold medal.
During 1998-2003, she studied at the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University at the Faculty of Economics, which she graduated with honors, receiving a specialist diploma in “Accounting and Audit”, qualification “accountant-economist”.
During 2003-2006, she studied in postgraduate studies with a break from production in the specialty 08.07.02 – Economics of Agriculture and AIC of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. In 2006, she defended her PhD thesis early at Zhytomyr Agroecological University on the topic “Improving the Efficiency of Resource Potential Use of Agricultural Enterprises.”
Since 2006, she has worked at the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University as an assistant, lecturer, and associate professor at the Department of Accounting and Auditing of the Faculty of Economics.
In 2011, she received the academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Accounting and Auditing.
In 2012, she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic “Strategy of balanced development of agricultural enterprises” in the specialty 08.00.04 – economics and management of enterprises (by type of economic activity) at the Lviv National Agrarian University. Since May 2012, she has been transferred to the position of professor of the Department of Accounting and Audit.
Since September 2015, she has headed the newly established Department of Management and Business Administration at the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Pre-University Training of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
Since 2017, he has been a visiting professor at the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz (Republic of Poland).
In 2018, she received the academic title of Professor of the Department of Management and Business Administration.
Since August 2019, he has been the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
Since 2021, he has been a visiting professor at the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Krakow (Republic of Poland).
Since October 2022, he has been the first vice-rector of the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.
Since 2022, he has been a member of the Presidium of Vice-Rectors for Scientific Work of Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (as a representative of classical universities).
The scientific achievements of V.M. Yakubiv are 319 scientific works, of which 255 are scientific and 64 are educational and methodological in nature, including 19 monographs, 11 textbooks, 100 professional articles, 30 in international journals with the SCOPUS citation index and 14 in international journals with the Web of Science citation index, 79 abstracts at conferences, 15 author certificates.
The citation index of articles in the SCOPUS database is 8; the h-index in the Web of Science database is 7; the citation index of articles in the Google Scholar database is h-index 15.
